    Shockwave Therapy

Discover the power of EPAT (Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology), also known as Shockwave Therapy, a revolutionary non-invasive treatment designed to accelerate healing and relieve pain. Whether you're an athlete sidelined by injury or someone struggling with chronic pain, EPAT offers a safe, effective solution to get you back to your best.

Using high-energy acoustic waves, EPAT stimulates tissue repair, boosts blood flow, and reduces inflammation, targeting conditions like plantar fasciitis, tendinitis, and muscle strains. Treatments are quick, typically lasting 5-10 minutes, with no downtime, allowing you to resume daily activities immediately. Most patients experience significant relief after just 3-5 sessions, with results that last.

Backed by years of clinical research, EPAT is FDA-cleared and trusted by healthcare professionals worldwide.

    Dry Needling

Dry needling is a therapeutic technique used by trained healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, to address musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It involves the insertion of thin, sterile filiform needles into specific trigger points—tight, irritable areas within muscles or connective tissues—to relieve pain, improve mobility, and promote healing.

This evidence-based approach targets myofascial trigger points, which can cause localized or referred pain, muscle stiffness, or restricted movement. By stimulating these points, dry needling may release muscle tension, enhance blood flow, and modulate pain signals through the nervous system. It is commonly used for conditions like neck and back pain, shoulder impingement, tension headaches, and sports-related injuries.

Sessions typically last 15-30 minutes, with the number of needles and treatment frequency tailored to the patient’s condition. Most patients report mild discomfort during needle insertion, followed by relief, though temporary soreness may occur. Dry needling is often integrated into a broader treatment plan, including exercise or manual therapy, for optimal outcomes.

    Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy is a specialized rehabilitation technique that leverages the therapeutic properties of water to support recovery from musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, or chronic pain. Conducted in the unique setting of the Crater, a natural geothermal hot spring in Midway, Utah, this therapy offers a distinctive and soothing environment for healing.

The Crater’s warm, mineral-rich waters, maintained at a consistent 90-96°F, provide natural buoyancy and gentle resistance, reducing joint stress while promoting muscle relaxation and improved circulation. These conditions are ideal for patients with arthritis, fibromyalgia, post-surgical recovery needs, or mobility limitations. The water’s supportive nature allows for low-impact exercises that enhance strength, flexibility, and balance, tailored to individual medical needs by trained therapists.

Sessions at the Crater combine guided movements, stretching, and strengthening exercises. The geothermal spring’s serene, naturally heated environment not only aids physical rehabilitation but also fosters mental relaxation, complementing the therapeutic process.

    Concussion Recovery

Concussion therapy is a specialized rehabilitation approach designed to address the complex symptoms of a concussion, a mild traumatic brain injury caused by a blow or jolt to the head. Provided by licensed physical therapists (PTs), this therapy focuses on safely restoring function and alleviating symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, balance issues, and cognitive difficulties.

Under the guidance of skilled PTs, concussion therapy begins with a comprehensive assessment to evaluate symptoms, neurological function, balance, and cervical spine health. Treatment plans are individualized, often incorporating vestibular rehabilitation to address dizziness and balance, visual tracking exercises to improve eye movement control, and gentle aerobic activities to promote brain recovery. Cervical spine manual therapy may also be used to relieve neck pain or tension contributing to headaches. Licensed PTs ensure all interventions are tailored to the patient’s tolerance, progressing gradually to avoid symptom exacerbation.

Education on rest, activity modification, and gradual return to work or sports is a key component, empowering patients to manage their recovery effectively.

Supported by clinical research, concussion therapy by licensed PTs is a safe and effective way to promote recovery and reduce the risk of prolonged symptoms.
